About BIOWEG BIOWEG is a purpose-driven startup that is developing functional and biodegradable alternatives to eliminate microplastics from our daily lives. Role and Responsibilities
- Work with the Bioprocess team at BIOWEG to perform a comprehensive life cycle analysis on the process and product.
- Collect and analyze the data related to BIOWEG’s processes.
- Quantify its environmental impact and identify the opportunities to reduce that impact.
- Build Life Cycle Inventories for materials of interest leveraging knowledge of chemical processes, mass, and energy balances.
- Develop Cradle to Gate and Cradle to Grave models.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors/Masters in the field of Environmental Science, Energy/Resource/Product Management, Economic Engineering, Life Cycle Assessment/Sustainability or comparable
- Ability to construct and deconstruct a process/product.
- Ability to structure an impact analysis process and manage the collection of information from various individuals, teams, and other external databases.
- Validate the quality of the data sources and build references.
- Familiarity with one or more carbon impact measurement methodologies is a plus: Carbon Footprint, LCA, GHG Protocol, etc.
- Familiarity with SuperPro Designer is an added advantage.
- The ability to work with SimaPro or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Good written and verbal command of English (German knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory)
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
